Botswana or Kruger Safari, Victoria Falls & Cape Town — TOUR
These are guideline itineraries to help and give you an idea of what you will do when in Southern Africa.
PREMIER TOUR created according to each client’s personal needs and budget. The duration is 14 days.
Day 1
Travel to South Africa and arrive in Johannesburg.
Day 2
Overnight in Johannesburg.
Day 3 to 6
Fly from Johannesburg to Maun in Botswana to start your 4‑day safari. The flight departs at around 11h00 with a 2‑hour duration from Maun. The lodging operator will meet you and guide you to your air charter for 20 to 30 minutes, and then you will arrive at your premier lodge. In the afternoon, experience a game drive in this great wildlife area of the Okavango Delta. The cost at the lodges includes:- accommodation, 3 meals per day, 2 activities per day, teas and all drinks excluding premier brands and laundry.
Day 7 to 8
Depart from the northern part of Botswana in Kasane and do a 2‑hour road transfer to your premier lodge in Zambia to visit the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and known as the adventure capital of the world. Including your visit to Victoria Falls, there are many exciting activities. Not for the faint-hearted whitewater rafting on the mighty Zambezi river, you will do a rate of five rapids or bungee jumping from the bridge spanning the Zambezi River, the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. For the more laid back, a helicopter flight over the falls, described as the flight of the angels, a sunset cruise on the river, visiting a local community or shopping at the local market for African curios.
Day 9 to 12
Fly from Livingstone in Zambia to Cape Town. You will spend four days in Cape Town, one of the world’s most beautiful cities, which should be included in your itinerary. I will arrange a driver/guide to take care of you for the duration of your stay. At the airport, be transported to your 5‑star hotel. All activities will be pre-arranged and booked. A visit to the famous Winelands. A boat trip to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated. A trip up the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. A one-day trip around the Cape Peninsula and reservations at our famous Michelin star fine dining restaurants will be included.
Day 13
Depart from Cape Town for your trip back home.
This itinerary would be the same as for the premier camps, except for what we refer to as classic camps, which are extremely comfortable and of a high standard.
This package would be approximate, USD1200 per person per day.
For the younger clients under 40 years old, I could highly recommend doing a mobile overland safari, being anything from 5 to 10 days. These mobile safaris leave from Maun, Botswana and traverse overland north. The highly experienced operators will set up camp each day after enjoying your wilderness experience. The camps are facilitated with toilets and showers. You will experience a true wilderness venture in the heart of the African bush, where not much has developed for hundreds of years.
Another option when visiting South Africa is to do a safari in our world-famous Kruger National Park, which is the size of Israel. This option would be more cost-effective with a budget of about USD600 per person per day.
If you wish to visit for over two weeks, I highly recommend you spend a few days on our beautiful coastal garden route. One-hour flight east along the coast from Cape Town or a five-hour scenic drive. Especially famous for its many world-class golf courses, there are many other options to enjoy this special area.
Please note
Prices vary depending on the season, being high or low. The best time to do a Botswana safari is in our winter between April and September, as summer can be hot, with temperatures reaching up to 110 deg F.
Please treat this as a guideline only, and I would be privileged to suggest a trip best suited to your party’s personal needs and the time of the year you wish to travel and to present a quotation.
